During week commencing 8th July, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) dramatically reduced its forecast of US Corn production by 12%, with yields being written down by 12% to 166 bushels/acre. Soya bean yields were similarly reduced by 7.75% to 43.9 bushels/acre. As a result, and reflecting on the continuing hot, dry weather in the USA, terminal market prices for Corn have risen by 44% and those for Soya by 17% over the last four weeks...
