Fuerst Day Lawson is one of the leading distributors of Castor Oil in the world, with over 40 years experience buying Castor Oil products directly from the producers in India, China and Brazil. We supply all liquid grades of Castor Oil, as well as the major Castor Derivatives such as Hydrogenated Castor Oil and 12- Hydroxy Stearic Acid. Our leading position in this area has also allowed us to become the largest global supplier of Sebacic Acid, and all of the major Sebacate Derivatives, which we source directly from producers in China. Our success in supplying to the Lubricants Industry, and in particular, to grease manufacturers globally, has led us to hold successful agency distribution agreements with key producers of Molybdenum Disulphide and Lithium Hydroxide. We are also the leading European distributor of Tung Oil, which we source from South America and China.

The diverse applications of these core products means that we are selling to major manufacturers within a wide range of industries. In our continuing efforts to not only satisfy, but anticipate, our customers' future needs, we are building up a range of chemical raw materials that complement our existing product, customer and supplier portfolios.

Our ultimate aim is to offer a ‘basket’ of raw materials, which we are continually extending and modifying to adapt to the changing needs of both our customers and suppliers.

We source raw materials from every continent and monitor the quality of every supplier following very strict procedures, adopted from our background in the Food Industry. Although the Chemical Industry may not have such stringent quality requirements as our other Divisions, we do not compromise when it comes to quality control of the products that we supply. Every supplier we deal with is graded and monitored closely throughout our relationship with them, and we ensure that every batch of product is controlled before being delivered to our customers.
